Hand lens

Fellow shade gardeners, am considering purchase of a hand lens and would
appreciate input from those of you who have and use one. What brand? What
power? Where did you buy yours? How much did you pay? What advice do you
have?

Others on the list may be interested in this info. I think any gardener
should have one. You never know what may pop up! Last week I discovered
five blooming Spiranthes ovalis (Ladies' Tresses Orchid) in my perennial
garden (shows you what an attentive weeder I am) and would have given
anything to examine the tiny fls under magnification.
