Also, handy for detecting nematodes on hostas. Cut a suspect leaf into thin
strips, horizontially. Place the leaves in cold water in a petri-like dish.
With your hand lens you can detect the foliar nematodes which under powerful
magnification will be aboout 1/16 inch ling, whitish and hopping all over the
area.
