Hi, Jennifer. Is this the first season you have planted these particular
ones?
If they were planted just this season, they might have reached their
developmental peak late, and you would expect them to flower at the
ordinary time in your area in subsequent years.

Hi, I don't know if the zone makes a difference, but I have crocuses which
have 'naturalized' all over. In early spring, when they sprout and bloom,
almost all are in sun until the trees leaf out, after which their habitat
becomes partially to completely shady. Regardless of the light exposure,
they retain their foliage in a healthy condition for the same length of time.
