Visitors to my garden are excited at sight of the large orange fruit on my
Podophyllum emodi. Children rush up and tell me about my mangoes.
Sturtevant's Edible Plants of the World (Dover) says the berry is edible,
but the roots and leaves are poisonous. Have any of you tried eating them?
