Shelia, Corydalis flexuosa 'Purple Leaf' has a purple blotch in the center
of each leaf. The foliage is lacey and medium green, flowers are a good
clear purplish blue. It likes sun to light shade and grows 12 to 14" and
blooms in spring for a long time and sometimes re-blooms in summer. My
records show that it requires well drained soil but I have not treated mine
especially well and it thrives. My first plant was purchased in 1994 from
Heronswood.
