Re: borer damage in stalks

Damage in beardless is different than in bearded, but I have seen the
notching in Sibs, you are right about the yellowing, in my previous email
I left that out for the sake of remaining brief, along with many other
signs. My observation remains tangent to borer damage in Sibs in the
garden, which differs from damage in bearded iris, perhaps a longer email
is needed to make myself clear, but I don't have time right this minute.
To redirect, I was indicating that stalk injury is more common in the
borers host species than in dry garden area, but because it is so frequent
in the wild, it is no longer surprising to see it on occaision in the
garden.
