Another issue that comes to mind with plant patent
enforcement--while you may be able to stop someone
from selling it, how can you stop someone from trading
it or giving away increase? I would think that a patent
would at best slow down the process of depreciating
price (or diminishing returens, what ever you call it).
As arnold pointed out, they tend to increase to a point
where you have to do something with the increases.
