Hello everyone!
I just joined this list. I have been doing some research on Sibs lately and I really love them!
I live in extreme South NJ. I am creating a fenced in 17' x 10' garden. So far I have a perennial section, one side for my roses and a bulb section. The soil is mostly clay that I've been amending with compost, peat, and some manure.
I recently planted a potted Chartreuse Beauty. It has a few inches of growth. It was an established plant in its pot, likely bloomed last year. It was very rootbound and was glad to be in the ground.
I also just bought 2 large pots of Ceasar's Brother and Ruffled Velvet. Big clumps, and the CB has over a FOOT of growth, the RV about 8". They are not planted yet.
This fall I'd like to order a few rhizomes to try. I want a nice light blue (Dancing Nanou is nice!) and a yellow.
A couple questions I have are, what is the suggested spacing for Sibs, and I'd love to have links to good Sib nurseries.
Thanks & take care!
Linda
