Early bloom

The first color showed on the earliest TB's here day before
yesterday, but Ruffled Velvet will beat them open by two or three
days. The old Summer Skies is also almost in bloom. So much for
Siberians being "two to three weeks after Tall Beardeds." Not this
year! My one and only LA has buds up half-height too. At least the
JI's haven't started yet.....
First Siberian seedlings have germinated--weeks later than TB's, as
expected. At least they've started. My very late planted, and under-
chilled, Siberian seeds from SIGNA have shown nothing above ground
yet. I'm not holding my breath.
