Below is the message Shanna and I just received from Ted White regarding the passing of John, a long time Siberian and Japanese Iris hybridizer and grower.

Hello Everyone,
Dad passed away at 2:10 p.m today at the Hospice
House in Auburn.
The end of his life was mercifully peaceful. Family members were at his
bedside when he died.
Visiting hours
will be at the Plummer and Merrill (Fortin Group) Funeral home at the
corner of Turner and Center Streets in Auburn. Visiting hours will be
Thursday, April 15 from 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held on
Friday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the High Street Congregational Church on High Street in Auburn.
Burial we be on the family
plot at Mount
Auburn Cemetery in Auburn following the service.
His obituary will appear in the Lewiston Sun Journal and
Portland Press Herald
newspaper on Wednesday.
Dad lived a very long and full life with many, many
friends and family. For that, we can forever be grateful.
