labels

From: "Harold Peters" <harold@directcon.net>

I use Avery clear laser labels and they last for years. The laser black is
carbon and never fades but the plastic can eventually peel away from a
plastic stake. The clear laser labels I put on galvanized stakes have never
peeled in the couple of years I have used that label system. The galvanized
stakes are from See-Fine Markers of Lewiston, Idaho (Pam at 208 743-2137).
The galvanized stakes are 50 to 60 cents apiece depending on size and
quantity. My advise is to get the smallest size. The other sizes are too
large. Even the smallest is somewhat more obtrusive than I would like. The
plastic ones I have tried discolor and become brittle in a couple of years.

A firm called Abbeon Cal in Santa Barbara sells a set of paint pens. To
contact them, call 800 information service for the 800 telephone number.
