Well, I had to dig 150 sibes & JI's on July 9th in Victoria BC and replanted
in Manitoba the following weekend. I dipped each root - or sprinkled in
the hole for larger clumps- with 'Myke' so time will tell. They are in a
half shady area of veggie garden and being watered v. often. hjave to clear
back more brush to get more AM sun there. Watering with alfalfa tea as
fast as I can make it.
And joy of joy. This week Barb Jackson in Brandon (MB) gave me a sibe that
has never bloomed. Guess what. My fave. Skywings. I first saw it and
fell in love with it in Ellen's former garden. Lost it in one of my many
moves. So now I have a great clump. Can't wait for next year.
My TB's, moved in June of 2001 and in feed bags for 8 weeks before planting
did not bloom at all. I only lost 3 though and tons of good growth this
year so have great hopes for 2003.
Wonder why Gloris & Dan have no sibes in their catalogue this year. Anybody
know?
Cheers Ginny in Manitoba, watching the rain today.
