Ellen, I received that notification for the lists I administrate as
well, but I understood it to mean that attachments WILL still be sent to
those lists allowing them. The attachments, however, will be stripped
from messages before the messages are permanently archived, so
attachments will not be available through the message archives.

Yes, both the Files and Photos sections can be used to archive files and
photos respectively, but access to those sections is only available to
people who are Yahoo members with Yahoo usernames and passwords. People
who signed up for sibrob without joining Yahoo will not be able to access
the Files or Photos sections until they become Yahoo members. That's the
way I understand it, anyway.
I'm not sure how any of this will affect the archives at Mallorn.
