My first glance at Char's photo was Dutch bulbous or spuria. Good advice from Chuck re bloom time and height. Altho' in Denver at the AIS convention, we saw some glorious spurias in full bloom. Must have been at one of the later-blooming gardens.

My first thought was a Dutch bulb iris because of flower shape and colouration. Check height of plant and bloom time. Dutch bloom with TB and are 24", Suria with Japanese and are 5 ft or so high.
