Hello - someone said it reminded her (Lana?) of antique china and that is was
my first thought from the photo. If it were darker, I would have suggested
'yellow ware' (old New England pottery) but Christy's 'creme brulee' was great
if it hadn't been used before. :(
I guess 'tapioca' would not be grand enough for an iris this beautiful...I
think the shorter the name, the more carrying power it has. Of course, now I
think Edmundas' 'White Amber' is number one but I have never seen white amber
(I don't think) but I have seen amber and agree that this is not as dark as
that gem.
It seems that gemstones do make good names. I bought Hal Stahly's Sibe
'Frosted Emerald' this summer. There was a nice photo of it in the TSI or the
Bulletin several months ago. The minute I saw it, I had to have it. Pics can
be powerful marketing tools for the vulnerable. I have printed out the pix of
both 'Turn a Phrase' and S-95-57-2 and have them on my 'must have' list for
next year. If only allowed one, the seedling would be my first choice.

November '00 saw the Sibrob with a total of 152 messages which the second
highest since we went to a real mailing list in Oct. '98. The most messsages
recorded for Sibrob was 252 in March '99. For those of us who are interested
in statistics, Nov. '99 = 52 messages and Nov. '98 = 106 so apparently the
time of the year might be irrelevant.
Cheers
