babies and christmas

the new babies are here just in time for Christmas!
Well, it's nearly that good;-)
The crosses I've planted and lined up on every inch of windowsill space are
just pushing their roots out and seeds up and off!
Can't tell you the satisfaction I feel, knowing that the windchill outside
here is -25 to -40 these days (-50 all day tomorrow), while the little ones
are thriving on the warm sunny sills.
Even if everyone of them are duds, they'll have made my whole winter...and
I'll love them all!
I'll be dreaming that one batch is that "inspired cross" that no one has
ever tried before
smiles from the cold and windy tundra we normally think of as Illinois.
