Hi Ellen,
I might be able to shed some light on this. The individual postmen are
required to get bulk mail delivered within 3 weeks of the time they receive
it. Sometimes you can get it moved up if you stamp it 'dated material'.

It was -25 F (about -32 C) this morning. Spring? No, we would
miss out on the skiing and watching the kids play hockey.
There is always a spring coming for a gardener....everything in
its time. Right now I am trying to coax some setosa seeds into
sprouting (inside :-).
Re the craziness of the bulk mail delivery, the hold-up might be
in the regional post offices where some seem to relegate bulk
mailngs to some mythical back room. Arnie is in Gary's broad
area of the U.S. but the regional post offices are almost
certainly different. Maybe this will be part of my winter
homework...finding these things out.
Surprised that they decided to deliver them during the Christmas
rush but thankful they were delivered at all.
