Hi Anja,
It's hard to say with any certainty, but this could indeed be a pure
Iris sibirica. In my experience, the best test is the seed pods.
Sibiricas tend to be relatively round, with the length being only about
twice the diameter. If it is a hybrid with sanguinea, the pods will
likely be longer. I'd certainly appreciate the chance to grow seeds of
this plant.
