Carol Warner of Draycott Gardens, draycott@qis.net, has suggested a
rating system for Siberians that includes a figure for foliage
characteristic. It was discussed in the magazine in the Spring of '95 I
think. It can be immensely helpful if you're wondering about your own
plants. I've found that some diploids stand up straight and some tets
collapse. It depends on the plant and where it's growing. In this past
summers drought, some of my upright ones flopped and some of the more
floppy ones seemed in comparison more upright. It was strictly a matter
of which ones were in spots that held moristure longer.
