By now, most of you folks have learned that the NEW Ensata catalog is on 
line.... along with all their Y2K introductions.  Ensata Gardens is the 
largest US grower of Japanese irises....  (and I'm here to tell you they grow 
lots of other groovy stuff too).

But the most exciting development, IMHO, is the addition of one special, 
spectacular iris:

Check out MUFFINGTON (under new introductions - Japanese Iris).  And if you 
double click on the thumbnail... you'll see that Kathyguest has the enormous 
honor of having this iris named for me!  MUFFINGTON is the name of our 
country property..... a nonsense name that my husband and I thought sounded 
very English Manor-esque.  Now immortalized in an iris.

MUFFINGTON stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it in Kalamazoo.  It is a 
peony double that, to these eyes, appears to have a wide, off white border.

Truly a TDF (to die for) iris.  And I am walking 3 feet off the ground.

As sweet Lenny is wont to say "do they know who you ARE?!?!?!"
