Hi Ellen ,thanks for answering,  Actually I *did* access the sibrob files yesterday without logging on, and without having a yahoo ID, just read the archives, as I was looking for Marty's address,  But I could not post , reply or access  full e-mails since I was not signed up. ( FYI.)
 
That is how it was with e-groups too because I read them for quite a while before I joined, then had them sent to me via e-mail..  I had found the list originally while surfing for Siberian inf. which was a great way to get people interested.   Everything was set up very nicely, very easy to work the list.  Thanks for Marty's  address..    So sorry the groundhog did not have better news for you today!  Deb
