March 24-26, 1995 Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis MO
It was the First iris function other than the Region 18 ones that Kevin
(then 15 and the year before he won the Clarke Cosgrove Youth Award at the AIS
Convention in Sacramento in 1996) ever went to. I have two copies of
the "Proceedings" - one of which I have donated to the 2010 Silent
Auction.
It was pretty thrilling for both Kevin and me-had breakfast with
Brian Mathew, Dr. Rodionenko, and Panayote Kelaidis. picked
up Luella Danielson from the airport and saw our first arils which she
brought (carefully wrapped in tissue paper) to display, had the pleasure of
taking Anne-Blanco White to the grocery store to get baking chocolate which she
couldn't get in England. Wish I had a copy of the Registration list
because I know I met for the first time some of my now close friends like Jan
and Marty. Bob Pries did a great job of organizing and Jim Waddick a great
job with the Proceedings!
More than you wanted to know, I'll bet!!

Can anyone
