Happy New Year

New Year Greetings to all sibrib members!  The change to a new year also 
brings a change of officers in the Society for Siberian Irises.  Since 
there was no flood of other nominees the slate of officers presented at 
the meeting in Iowa becomes official.  Since midnight comes three hours 
earlier on the East coast, Tom Abrego and I were co-presidents for three 
hours.  Today the new officers of the Society are:

         President:  Carol Warner
         1st Vice President:  E. Roy Epperson
         2nd Vice President:  Judy Hollingworth
         Secretary: Marjorie Jansen
         Treasurer:  Jim Copeland
          Directors:  Tom Abrego (ex officio)
                           Howard Brookins (2001)
                           Kathy Guest  (2001)
                           Jim Wilson  (2001)
                           Dana Borglum (2002)
                           Katharine Steele (2002)
                           Ellen Gallagher (Editor)

I am honored to be your new president but will need the help of all 
members to keep the Society moving forward.  If you are not a member of 
the Society I would say that the $5.00 annual dues is quite a bargain.

I do not write often on the robin but do read all of the messages.  If you 
have ideas, suggestions, complaints, or information to share I will be 
glad to hear from you via email at draycott@qis.net or on our sibrob.
