I received this query tonight and anyone who would like to answer it (through
the sibrob or off-list), feel free. If done on list, I will forward the
answer.
They are not members of sibrob and probably they are not talking about
Siberian
seeds..might be. If I would answer, I might say, "Hey, sounds just like my
experiences with iris seeds". :)

Could you please forward this to someone who might be kind enough to help.I
have a question about hybridizing iris.
For the first time last year, I made some random crosses. I allowed the seed
pods to mature until they were dark brown and ready to split open. I
collected the seeds and placed them in a plastic butter dish in the
refrigerator until December, when I planted them inside under lights. After
5 weeks, I only have one seed germinated and it's about 3" tall. What did I
do wrong?
