seed germination

I need some help, I am going to try my hand at germinating some iris seeds. I have grown other plants from seed, but I don't want to mess this up. How long should I soak the seeds for? How long should I keep them in the frig for? Should I keep them in wet paper or another medium while they are in the frig? Also these are mostly siberians and some other beardless species.
