Re: Re: Claire Austin's book

Hi, we are lucky to have this book in the library of our local iris
group. It is quite a good book with a lot of photographs and includes
a substantial section on Siberians. The text is elementary but there
are over eighty siberian cultivar pictures with registration
information and parentages. A few of these are from the UK and
Europe, but most are from US hybridizers. They include some of the
older varieties and well as many of the more recent ones. It is the
best photo representation of siberians we've seen in a book. Other
beardless irises are covered as well. Some of our local bearded
hybridizers were pleased to see photos of their irises in the book
along with the more well-known hybridizers. Jan Sacks

Has anyone bought Claire Austin's book "Irises a gardener's
encyclopedia". I think it mostly covers bearded irises but I wondered
if
she has a section on beardless. Thanks Judy
