Re: SR - Informal survey again

In response to the request for an informal survey:

Fairy Fingers. Not grown, and not seen.

Golden Edge. Not grown, and not seen.

Harpswell Chanteuse. Not grown, and not seen.

Harpswell Snowburst. Not grown, and not seen.

Lee's Blue. Grown for first season. Split decision, one vote says it's
O.K., and the other vote likes the two shades of blue in the blossom.
We're wondering how how well this plant will clump and bloom in future
seasons.

Mesa Pearl. Grown for first season. Less pink than anticipated. The
bloom's small shape is interesting, however, the color seems to fade in
the sun rather quickly. We'll be watching this plant with a critical
eye.

Patio Rose. Not grown, and not seen.

Sprinkles. Not grown, and not seen.

Trim The Velvet. Grown for first season. The blue color, velvet finish,
and wire rim are all attractive. This plant will likely be a true
keeper, if well behaved when mature.

Bloom report. SIB Tiffany Lass and CAL-SIB Golden Waves are the only
Siberian related Iris with any remaining blossoms in our gardens. The
Japanese Iris and Spuria Iris are the only other Iris in bloom now. SIB
Coronation Anthem, SIB High Standards, other SIB Iris, TB Flamenco
Whirl, some late Dutch Iris, Iris japonica, Iris milesii, Iris
douglasiana, Iris laevigata alba, Iris laevigata 'Monstrosa', and Iris
fulva have all completed their blooming here within the past couple of
weeks.

No bloom has appeared this season from SIB Chilled Wine (new plant), SIB
Lorena Cronin (new plant), SIB Springs Brook (new plant), SIB Shirley's
Choice, Iris virginica alba, and the Louisiana Iris.

New plants that expired after planting were SIB Chilled Wine, SIB Pink
Haze, SIB Shaker's Prayer, and some PCI plants. Out of the twenty-seven
Siberians we purchased and planted last year, these three plants were
the only casualties after a record-breaking mild Winter.
