Does anyone know of, or has anyone tried, nematodes for iris borer at
the mature stage of the borer? Everything I've read says apply the
nematodes in the early spring, which I have done, but the eggs may be in
the leaves and the hatchlings are on the leaves, and the beastie is
moving down in the leaves so by the time it gets to the ground is the
nematode still there and waiting, and if so could I apply the nematodes
now? Now try and parse that sentence, fellow English majors.
I'm finding a few mature borers and naturally squishing them but I
seriously do wonder if applying nematodes now would work. Does anyone
know?
