Does this dark blue siberian have branching? A lot of dark blue are assumed 
to be Caesar's Brother but many have allowed bee pods to set and therefore 
they probably are growing seedlings. Dr. McGarvey believed that they were 
selfed and believed that long periods of crosses with similar genes fostered 
the development of strong, inbred strains. Selfing doesn't always produce 
seedlings resembling the parent. With a variation like you mention it must 
have had parents that brought some variations. I happened upon this quote 
last night and decided to save it and sending it to you for what its worth. I 
hybridized for 10 years or so and only one time had a bee pod that gave all 1 
color of seedlings. Mostly there would be a variation even when they 
definitely had different parents that were sisters. anna mae miller,
