SPRINKLES is not a good grower here in northern New Hampshire
for me or at least the clone I have of it is a dud. It has been
in place for 4 yrs. and has never bloomed. It has increased
slowly but nary a bud. It is the only Sibe that has never
bloomed here excepting VELVET NIGHT that is leaving here by
Sept. probably by compost or by sending it south or west to
people that want it.
RIVERDANCE finally bloomed here after 4 years. It was a good
bloom but after all that waiting sort of anticlimactic. It is a
lovely flower and I can understand its popularity. In the bed it
is planted in, it has lots of competition. BLUEBERRY FAIR
bloomed this year and looked great...
However, MESA PEARL (sibling to SPRINKLES) is a fast
grower/increaser and is bloom-crazy. (some say
'floriferousness')
Still have Sibes blooming...only about 7 or 8.
Ellen (still busy crying for my lilium that are covered with
lily beetle larvae... and still trying to kill all the beetles I
see)
