I am fairly certain that there are more than one irises circulating as 
Flight of Butterflies.  When I first had it several years ago, it was tall, 
and very typical I. sibirica. I don't remember now where I obtained it.   A 
friend was very impressed with it in her garden, claiming that it was small 
and dainty.  I lost my original stock and received a division from her.  The 
plant that I now have is smaller, with more "grassy" foliage.  The flower is 
very much like typical I. sibirica, only smaller, and it doesn't flower 
every year.
