{Disarmed} Re: Last Blooming Siberian

Haven't seen a siberian for a few weeks and the JI's are finished in my sheltered garden and we used to think this was peak. On June 30th SWMIS had their unjudged show at a nursery with 48 JI's according to John Coble and we have given visitors ribbons to place on their favorite and 231 people placed ribbons and it was a steady trickle most of the day. I was on a pre- 2009 National Hosta convention previewing the gardens in Saginaw, MI area, there were 5 very nice gardens so that should be a good day of viewing gardens for the attendees. We were 32 'Love to Visit Gardens' and agreed that we didn't have long enough in any garden but we had to travel about 80 miles further than they will have to go on the National because the hotel is more centrally located. I saw siberian foliage but nothing in bloom. anna mae, where we have had a very strange season in MI.
