SR - Dwarf Siberians

Hello everyone!

The TSI article on small or dwarf siberians was excellent and timely for
me. I saw a first year seedling that was magnificient. Bloomed at 13",
crimson red with small white signal. The falls were held at 90 degrees and
form was so full and rounded that the whole flower was nearly a circle. It
was in perfect proportion to plant height. Now the tough part of the
evaluation, it appears to be a weak grower. The whole plant consists of
five leaves and two look sickly, yellowed. I took pictures which have not
yet been developed. A couple fellow ISM members did see the first bud
bloom, the second bud did not reach full maturity as the weather changed
from two days of 90 to one evening at 35 and a day time high of 50 with
high winds and drizzle!

We will see what next year brings in terms of increase and vigor!
