Re: pots in water


I've grown sibs in 1 gallon pots stuck in an inch or so of water for a
while during the spring; didn't seem to hurt. Of course you are planning it
as a temporary measure, I'm sure there isn't any thought of keeping it in
water for the winter. But often the problem with weak growers is the kind
of thing I would attribute to soil that is too wet, not really the fault of
the soil but the roots just seem to rot away in the winter (in the ground
and/or in pots). It is still a mystery how to deal with it, if indeed there
is a way.
