Don't sorry, but first I must say there is no such a species as
I.siberica. I think you had in mind I.sibirica L. All botanical names
are writting in Latin language. Next: green bracts or as you wrote bud
sheets of true I.sibirica have reddish purple margins. From other hand
bracts of I.sanguinea are only green. Reddish purple margins on bracts of
siberian hybrids show that there is more blood of I.sibirica than
I.sanguinea. I have no knowledge about color variation on leaf base
for both species.
