Actually, I had Sibrob sent so I could see who was joining...the
spammers are getting smarter. This one had a 'normal name' and
she/he was joining as a digest member. Usually that means it is
a real person..used to be that they would troll through the
Yahoogroups looking for lists that had open membership and do
their damage. Sibrob had an open membership. They also look for
lists usually that have more than 200 members. That way they can
peddle their awful wares.
I didn't read that message...just the first line. I immediately
removed it from the Sibrob archives and removed the subscriber
and then went through the whole membership and put about 35
subscribers on moderated mail and then I got nervous and put the
whole list on moderated mail (even dear Libby) so I had to
approve Libby's post. :-) But I am going back to the garden
after a lunch break so can't approve any more for awhile.
I have been vigilant when a newbie joins up with: 1) a free
web-mail address like hotmail, yahoo, etc. that is a red-flag
now 2) I would put them on moderating posting which means that I
would get their posts to approve them first. Well, the one last
night subscribed in the early evening before I checked the mail
and I didn't have a clue.

IBs and of course, Lady Emma who doesn't know what she is --
