Ellen,
Maybe you should add a few words explaining that lists are sometimes joined
by commercial interests and the questions are to determine that the Siberian
lover actually knows he is joining a horticultural group. I can't think of a
way around the spammers but one wants to feel welcome. Not too exclusive.
The Siberians (which some of you are done with) are about one third into the
high bloom period here. They certainly like a lot of water in the spring.
Since it has rained endlessly with very cool (around seventy degrees or less)
temperatures we have the flowers longer than I have observed in past springs.
We may be needing to admire the irises in the showers but they are the most
vigorous plants I have seen. It is raining here today as usual and one thinks
it will never stop so we have been able to observe that Siberians in daily
spring rains are clearly better than the more normal June warmth and dry periods.
I think May was 25 out of 31 days with rain and June is about the same ratio.
