Siberians in bloom and other things

Just a few things about my post about applying for membership in
Sibrob:
The simple questions called for in my response to anyone wanting
to join Sibrob should be easily conquered for anyone who wants
to join a restricted list. The Sibrob is not auto-membership
anymore and won't be in the near future..it can't be for reasons
beyond our control.
A simple first and last name and the 'general' location (not the
town or state) is not too much to ask of anyone. Nor is the
query about Siberian irises. Claire, if someone subscribes to
the Sibrob, 99% if not 100% know they are subscribing to a
horticultural list. It is listed under irises in the Yahoogroups
listing along with a description. If they do not know, my letter
informs them that this is a list dealing with Siberian irises. I
have added 'flower' after Siberian irises. When they become
members, they are sent (as you all were), a welcoming message.
If anything, it might be too little to ask. The past year has
frankly been unpleasant on the internet with the spamming
(pornographic and commercial). I don't want Viagra or another
mortgage or to have Tiffany call me and 'make my night', etc. I
certainly don't want to have any of my mailing lists contribute
to this mess. So we have to reassess and change to confront the
scourge of spam.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Early Siberians starting to bloom along with the Medians.
WINDWOOD SERENADE and WINDWOOD SPRING both have a ton of blooms
and a huge amount of bloom stalks. The I. sibirica types are in
full bloom: SHAKER'S PRAYER, SNOW PRINCE, LITTLE BLUE SPARKLER,
WHITE AMBER (love that color - seems more distinct than it
appeared in Hamilton). One of my own seedlings is blooming this
early - a diploid and has many increases and from a distance,
the signal appears blue from the blue influence.
Cheers,
Ellen
