Some years ago Ellen showed me my first i. versacolor growing in the woods
behind her house. Later she sent some seed. Now it is a great clump and in
bloom at the mo along the edge of our creek. I think of Ellen and all the
iris-L & sibrob gang every time I see this bloom.
Wild roses are out too, quite near and the two colours together are just
wonderful
