Terry,

The hackers aren't after single credit card numbers, they are after the 
databases full of hundreds of thousands of numbers.

True, there is a certain amount of exposure sending your credit card 
number via email, but the reality is that it is a lot more secure than 
handing you credit card to a waiter at a restaurant and having it out 
of your possession while they run the transaction.

I wasn't faulting ASI for there process, I was just pointing out the 
situation.
