Yes, Sparkling Rose can put on a show. I am away from the checklist but I believe it is one generation from specie. In no way does it look like the modern hybrids and yes, the Siberian Society accepts species and many newer forms of blooms for the great variety in our gardens. Ben Hager was always disappointed that his didn't receive awards but again he was a bit ahead of his time and if he would have continued (he concentrated on TBs, etc.,) on he might have developed new colors as Schafer/Sacks has by using I. sibirica. Now I am sure I will bring the wrath of this group on me but so be it. I have introduced different forms but still have a preference for the wider forms because they give more color effect in the garden. anna mae __._,_.___
