We do appreciate the concern of our friends!  Fortunately we are high and dry about an hour north of the devastation in Cedar Rapids Iowa and our heart goes out to those suffering the property and crop damage across the Midwest.

We are currently in Syracuse visiting o\ur daughter and family and then on to MA to visit Tom's Mom and our iris friends (
Schafer-Sacks, Markham and Borglum before heading to Kalamazoo for the JI Convention.

Loved the pics of your crew-here is the latest of Kevin, Diane and Beni plus our Karla and grandsons Nathan and Nick.  "Time does fly!"

Probably everyone has asked you this, we have been away but wanted to know that you are OK. I don't know off hand where Dubuque is compared to the disaster areas, so so sad....can't fool with Mother Nature the ways these levees were built...
