Hello everyone!
I have been out of touch for some weeks and see some interesting topics
have been discussed.
Dues - Lately much has been lost on the internet due to heavy
commercialization. It is still is a free forum. It was originally
constructed to convey open converation and share information between
research and educational institutions. Let us keep it that way! We should
look at the sibrob as free marketing and advertising.
Robert H., Christy H., & Ellen - Some weeks ago we were discussing
reblooming in Siberians.
Bob, pick up a copy of NATURAL HISTORY magazine 4/00, the last article
"Computing the Oraganism" talks about an experiment conducted with
Achillea clones and the wide differences in growth pattern due to different
environmental conditions. The article does not discuss the details of the
experiment but it does infer that clones (like Coronation Anthem in our
discussion) can still have a great deal of variability due to factors of
environment, but also what the article describes as developmental "noise"
at the molecular level!
My premise might be somewhat sound and the variations you see in Coronation
Anthem growing side by side are factors partly of environment and then
also of the molecular development of each plant.
Thats all for now!
