any database experts out there?

Dear Friends,
I would like to work to convert the Checklist, now in Word (?version?)
format into a generic database format, so that people using it can easily
sort it in different ways appropriate to their interest at the moment; for
instance, one might call up only diploids, or just one hybridizer's intros,
or look at them in chronological order. (some of this is achieved in the
check list already). So if someone knowledgeable about programming in a
database language could help, that would be good - I have programming
skills but not for that specific circumstance. Mainly, each entry needs to
be parsed. It should not be that difficult, within each entry fields are
carefully arranged in the same order; but some data may be missing so we
just need to be sure we don't lose our place.

Please contact me directly - mzarky@earthlink.net

Thanks.
Michael
