McCalif (www.mccalif.com) has an office here in Hubbard, Oregon that I have
used from time to time for larger sized pots. It means a 40 mile round trip
but they are quite amenable to selling in odd lots and it makes the trip
worthwhile. I purchased 50 - 1 gallon pots late last Sept. And they wouldn't
consider 200 - 5 gallon pots an "odd lot."
I would caution against utilizing "used pots" unless they were first cleaned
and sterilized by a soak in a laundry bleach solution (1 part bleach to 9
parts water). I really don't have the time (nor do I want to spend the time)
to clean the quantity of pots I keep recycling. An old 40 gallon nursery pot
filled half way with the bleach solution works perfectly. I let the pots
soak for about 10 - 15 minutes and then let them air dry on the gravel
driveway. Stack then upside down and they are ready for use when needed.
