Re: Little Papoose

Everybody interested in Little Papoose, here is a link to a scanned photo of
it from my garden. Side note: Whereas my clump of Flight of Butterflies
completely perished during the extreme heat wave and drought here while I
was away in France in summer of 2003, the Little Papoose did just fine!

Tanya -- Like many other Siberians, Little Papoose is red-violet or wine
red, not true red. It has a sizeable white blaze pattern on the falls and a
somewhat rounded, flaring form. It grew quite well when we had it for the
1993 Siberian Convention in Michigan and formed an attractive clump.
However, it really never took off after we transplanted it later and
eventually dwindled away. It's registered as blooming at 20" so it's not
quite a dwarf -- more a median. There are a quite limited number of
attractive Siberians of that height, so it would be nice to see it again.
