Re: Old South Iris Society Meeting Sunday March 6

Hello Bill,

Thanks so much for the invitation!!! But it is a long
Sunday drive. I live on Salt Spring Island which is
between Vancouver and Victoria BC. I have been growing
and selling iris for about 11 years now and really
enjoy them. The reason the iris won out over other
plants is that we have Columbia black tailed deer that
produce like rabbits. So, we get up in the morning and
the only thing left are the iris so that was the
deciding factor.

I just got hooked up to iris-photo and Sibrob in the
past few months and really enjoy the connection. I am
beginning to think I need to start a British Columbia
Iris Society as I know lots of people grow tham and
love them and we need to get some synergy going.

Anyway, when/if we do I will invite you for a Sunday
drive!!! But more seriously, if you or anyone you know
are up this way you are really welcome to come to our
place for a visit.....even free B&B!!!

Cheers...... Ted Baker
