Hi everyone
been a bit busy, so haven't contributed much lately, but thought that Ellen
sounded like she needed some help.
I moderate three groups on eGroups (one for my old school friends and
drinking buddies, one for Hardy Plant Society Sussex Group officers and
another for the Croftway Nursery online newsletter). Have you checked your
mail settings Ellen? I'm sure you have, as you were not born yesterday, but
if not, go to www.egroups.com, go to "My Groups", click on "sibrob" then
"members" and check the settings. You need "individual emails" against your
name (I have "daily digest").
I've BCC'd this to you personally too, so you'll get this post one way or the
other!
We've had the third wettest April since 1750, and bearded bloom is pathetic.
Siberians as usual are doing better when faced with adverse weather, and
there is bloom on two or three already - Soft Blue is showing some colour,
and is a personal favourite. Other plants are looking very lush - it's one of
the greenest Mays I can remember. Favourite plant of the moment - Anisodontea
Tara's Pink...gorgeous but really needs zone 9 or warmer to succeed outside.
best wishes
