Lousy weather tale.

I thought about my lovely irises while scraping snow and ice from my car
this morning. Normally I would be making May wine and sitting on the deck
about this time of year. But the sweet woodruff hasn't started to grow yet,
so there's nothing to make the May wine with!
And is it really possible that my SDB's are all blind this year? It was
below freezing and snowy for almost 6 months here, which should be good for
them. But I can't even feel any buds swelling inside the fans. Well, perhaps
they too will be blooming in July and August this year, along with the
dogwoods and primroses and crocuses. ;-) My maples, though, are starting to
unfurl their leaves, which I take as a promising sign.
Most of the siberians are growing. I even moved one into a brighter spot
over the weekend.
At least the daffodils didn't freeze last night.

P.S. Hey, I think I just spotted Sgt. Preston of the Yukon go by the house
with his dog sled team!!
