ROKU OJI

Hi Folks,

I ordered a Siberian iris named ROKU OJI that had been recently mentioned
in the SSI Bulletin. In the article, RO was identified as (Hiroshi
Shimizu, '00). This has me confused. I can't find RO listed in the R &
Is at all, so where does the '00 come from and what does it mean? Is
there some organization that registers Sibs in addition to the AIS? Or
does '00 designate the year in which this seedling first germinated, and
does it remain unregistered? Also, can anyone provide me with a
description and/or pic of this cv?

TIA for any clarification,

Laurie
